New upgrades mean New Experiences with SAS
A commitment to Scandinavia’s most experienced travellers is at the forefront of everything SAS does, and as Northern Europe’s number one airline SAS understands what its customers both want and need. Introducing the A320 neo while upgrading the additional 70 aircraft in the short and medium haul fleet is all part of the SAS New Experience.
“The launch of the A320 neo is the starting point of a new era for short and medium haul flights for SAS,” says Eivind Roald, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer in SAS. “We are reducing the environmental impact while improving the offer to our passengers, which will include a state of the art Wi-Fi solution onboard.”
The upcoming Wi-Fi solution will mean SAS will offer the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky – but that’s just one piece of the upgrade puzzle. There will also be more comfortable seat cushions, extra legroom, and USB power outlets at every seat.
“Passengers will experience a thoroughly modern product, with high standards of quality the Scandinavian way,” says Roald. “The long haul upgrade resulted in all-time-high customer satisfaction standards. It is our hope the improved short and medium haul travelling experience will result in the same level of customer satisfaction.”
Roald says the upcoming onboard Wi-Fi system will move SAS’s innovative digital program to a higher level.
“It’s exciting that we’re making such major investments in our customer offer. Introducing the super Wi-Fi system while reducing climate impact and becoming 15% more fuel efficient with the most eco-friendly aircraft in the industry means we really are offering the best of both worlds!”
